Fiberon™ ASA-CF08 combines the proven UV and weather resistance of ASA with 8% carbon fiber reinforcement to produce strong, rigid, dimensionally stable parts designed for demanding environments. The carbon fiber reinforcement reduces warping while increasing stiffness, making ASA-CF08 an excellent choice for functional components that need to withstand outdoor exposure and elevated temperatures.
With a tensile strength of 43.5 MPa and bending strength of 69.1 MPa in the XY direction, ASA-CF08 provides the mechanical performance needed for durable fixtures, housings, brackets, jigs, and other functional components. Its 3265 MPa bending modulus provides a high level of rigidity while maintaining the inherent outdoor durability of ASA.

Because the carbon fiber reinforcement is abrasive, a hardened wear-resistant nozzle is essential. ASA-CF08 is also relatively brittle as a filament, so Polymaker recommends maintaining a bending diameter greater than 60mm during feeding.
Additional Information
ASA-CF08 is moisture-sensitive and should be stored and printed under dry conditions, ideally below 20% relative humidity. For the most consistent results, use an enclosed printer with appropriate ventilation and filtration. The material does not require a heated chamber or post-print annealing.
Due to its abrasive and brittle nature, caution is recommended when using ASA-CF08 with AMS and other multi-material feeding systems.
