Fuse Blast High Capacity Kit — Higher-Volume SLS Post-Processing
The Fuse Blast High Capacity Kit expands the post-processing capacity of the Formlabs Fuse Blast polishing system, making it easier to clean and finish larger parts and higher-volume batches.
The kit replaces the standard Fuse Blast basket with a Large Tumbler Basket featuring a 400 mm opening, providing substantially more room for parts during the automated cleaning and polishing process. Formlabs states that the High Capacity Kit can process more than 50% more parts per cycle than the standard basket.
The High Capacity Kit is particularly suited to Fuse X1 users and multi-printer Fuse 1 Series production environments where larger and more frequent SLS batches can otherwise create a post-processing bottleneck.
Increased Capacity for Larger Batches
The larger tumbler provides additional internal volume, helping prevent parts from becoming overcrowded during a cycle. This is especially useful when processing larger SLS builds or multiple batches from Fuse 1 and Fuse 1+ 30W printers.
For Fuse X1 production, the High Capacity Kit provides the additional capacity needed to process the larger parts and higher-volume builds produced by the industrial SLS platform.
400 mm Opening
The Large Tumbler Basket features a 400 mm opening, compared with the 270 mm opening of the standard Fuse Blast basket. The larger opening makes loading and unloading parts easier while providing additional room for larger SLS components.
Drop-In Upgrade
The High Capacity Kit is designed as a drop-in upgrade for an existing Fuse Blast. No machine modifications are required, and Formlabs states that the basket can be swapped in minutes without specialized tools.
This allows existing Fuse Blast users to increase their post-processing capacity without replacing the complete Fuse Blast system.
Includes an Extra Liner Kit
The Fuse Blast High Capacity Kit combines the Large Tumbler Basket with an additional Fuse Blast Large Tumbler Basket Liner Kit.
The additional liner allows high-volume users to replace the liner without waiting for a separate order, helping minimize downtime in production environments.
