Formlabs Fuse Series Build Chamber — Continuous SLS Production & Rapid Turnaround The Formlabs Fuse Series Build Chamber is a central component of the modular Fuse ecosystem, engineered to deliver high-throughput selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing. Compatible with both Fuse 1 and Fuse 1+ 30W printers, this self-contained build enclosure houses the powder bed, heating elements, and piston mechanism required for building precise nylon parts.
Enable Non-Stop Printing Workflows In industrial SLS production, cooling down a completed build cake inside the printer can result in hours of idle machine time. With an additional Fuse Series Build Chamber, you can instantly remove a finished print job from the printer and move it to the Fuse Sift for controlled cooling and powder recovery. A fresh, prepped build chamber can then be loaded into the printer immediately to start the next build run without waiting.
Integrated Thermal Management The build chamber features built-in heater contacts and precise thermal insulation designed to maintain uniform powder bed temperatures throughout long print runs. Controlled heating prevents thermal gradient warping and ensures consistent mechanical performance across the entire build volume.
Smooth Transfer to Fuse Sift Equipped with heavy-duty side handles and a secure latching system, the build chamber slides smoothly out of the printer and docks directly into the Fuse Sift post-processing station. Once docked, the automated piston elevates the powder cake upward for efficient, dust-contained breakout and sifting.
