TAKE YOUR 3D PRINTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Improved Build Plate Adhesion

The PEI-coated flexible build plate helps with improved adhesion to a wider range of materials. Users of the Ultimaker S7 can now print reliably with Ultimaker branded filaments without any glue required. The R&D team has rigorously tested this, and results showed better adhesion performance compared to the glass build plate, with the exception of large prints using Ultimaker PC, which can be properly addressed with the Magigoo PC adhesive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key features of the UltiMaker S7?

• Flexible Build Plate

Remove parts effortlessly with the PEI-coated flexible build plate. 25 magnets and 4 alignment pins allows you to replace it perfectly – reducing the time spent using the UltiMaker S7 and increasing productivity.

• Integrated Air Manager

The integrated Air Manager on the UltiMaker S7 is independently tested to remove up to 95% of ultrafine particles from every print. Not only does this increase air quality and peace of mind, it also boosts print quality thanks to its fully enclosed build chamber.

• Print Head with Inductive Sensor

A new inductive sensor for bed leveling more accurately probes the build plate. And automatic tilt compensation removes the need for thumbscrew bed calibration. Together, these allow you to start a print and walk away – confident in a perfect first layer.

• Quick Setup & Easy Onboarding

From unboxing to power on, installing the UltiMaker S7 takes about 30 minutes. Just scan the QR code on the box and follow the steps of the new digital unboxing guide. This makes it easy to start 3D printing high-quality parts and models from day 1 of ownership.

• Material Compatibility

When you can simply click and print with over 280 materials, the potential for 3D printing applications becomes limitless. These material profiles (including engineering, composite, and recycled filaments) have been tested for thousands of hours by their manufacturers and users in the field.

Can customers upgrade their existing UltiMaker S5 to the UltiMaker S7?

No, this is not possible.

The UltiMaker S7 consists of different components which can’t be installed in the UltiMaker S5.

Which print cores can be used on the UltiMaker S7?

AA0.25, AA0.4, AA0.8, BB0.4, BB0.8, CC0.4, CC0.6.

The UltiMaker S7 works with the swappable print cores compatible with S-line printers.

What software is compatible with the UltiMaker S7?

UltiMaker Cura

The UltiMaker S7 is fully compatible with the software suite (UltiMaker Cura, Digital Factory) available with the UltiMaker Platform. To make the most out of the printer, users are advised to register their printers and setup their UltiMaker accounts. This allows them to make use of UltiMaker Essentials and UltiMaker Digital Factory for a streamlined, cloud-based workflow.

What are the materials supported on the UltiMaker S7?

The UltiMaker S7 is compatible with all UltiMaker materials. They have been extensively tested and have optimized profiles in UltiMaker Cura to ensure best print results. Using UltiMaker materials will also allow users to benefit from the NFC detection system (automatic recognition by the spool holder or Material Station). Furthermore, UltiMaker filaments can be printed on the new flexible build plate without any additional adhesive. The UltiMaker S7 also supports third party materials from the UltiMaker Marketplace.
